students visit SFA Showroom

On 8 July 2026, SFA Pumps Vietnam was pleased to welcome nearly 50 students from the Faculty of Interior Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) — as part of an industry visit to explore macerator pump technology and advanced drainage solutions firsthand.

Key highlights

  • Context: Interior architecture students increasingly need a working understanding of building services — including drainage systems — to apply in real-world design practice.
  • Event: Nearly 50 HCMUTE students visited the SFA Pumps Vietnam office on 8 July 2026, attending a live presentation on pump operating principles and viewing products directly.
  • Content: Hands-on learning covering how macerator pumps work and how they are applied practically across residential and commercial projects.
  • Significance: A direct connection between industry and the next generation of architects and interior designers — giving students access to real solutions before they enter the profession.

When design students meet a real drainage problem

Throughout their studies and studio practice, interior architecture students regularly work on kitchens, bathrooms, and wet areas. But the questions that come up in actual projects — where does the wastewater go, how does the pipe get there, and what do you do when there is no existing drainage outlet at the right location — rarely appear in the standard curriculum.

All of these questions were answered during a hands-on visit to the SFA Pumps Vietnam showroom.

An industry visit from principles to product

At the SFA Pumps Vietnam office, students had the opportunity to learn directly about:

  • Operating principles of the macerator pump — how the unit creates active pressure to collect and discharge wastewater without relying on gravity, enabling installation anywhere in a building without floor drilling
  • Practical application scenarios in interior design — from adding a toilet to an upper-floor bedroom, to installing a washbasin in a leased kitchen space, to solving drainage for bathroom renovations
  • Direct product experience — seeing the Sanitoilet, Sanigrey, and Sanicubic product ranges up close

Connecting with the next generation of designers

The HCMUTE visit continues SFA Pumps Vietnam's series of academic engagement activities in 2026 — from Water Industry Day at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology to technical training sessions for architects and MEP engineers.

SFA Pumps Vietnam sincerely appreciates the interest shown by the students of HCMUTE's Faculty of Interior Architecture, and looks forward to continued engagement with the next generation of design professionals.

FAQs

Any questions ?

  • Drainage directly affects how wet areas — kitchens, bathrooms, and WC spaces — are planned and detailed in a design. A working knowledge of solutions such as macerator pumps gives architects and designers greater flexibility, particularly in renovation projects or leased premises where floor drilling is not permitted.

  • SFA Pumps Vietnam offers three main product categories: Sanitoilet (solutions for toilet applications), Sanigrey (solutions for washbasins, showers, and grey water fixtures), and Sanicubic (large-scale wastewater collection systems). All operate on a no-floor-drill principle, suitable for both residential and commercial projects.
